The CommonChord Project

March Forth is proud to partner with CommonChord Project, an organization geared towards bringing teenagers together from diverse communities to create and perform original songs. Launching CommonChord Project was something Julietta was very passionate about. In July 2019, CommonChord's Songwriting Summer Intensive for teens was launched. Participants from diverse backgrounds were guided in the art of songwriting and empathy development with master teaching artists in an around-the-clock residential weekend.

Five of Julietta's close friends and her only sibling, her younger brother, worked with CommonChord Project in her honor, assisting with the launch of the Summer Songwriting Intensive. The deep feeling in the group, working together to make CommonChord a success, is one way to be together in collective grief while making a positive contribution that keeps Julietta's memory alive and close in song.
